Chaibai Chinese input method editor
If you use Pinyin Input Method Editor for Simplified (or traditional) Chinese, you have additional convenience, which converts text using structural Pinyin (拆白 ChaiBai).
While using the Pinyin input source, you can treat an input code as structural Pinyin (ChaiBai) to see different conversion candidates. To treat an input code as structural Pinyin (ChaiBai): --
Type two or more syllables, and then press Shift-Space bar.
Each Pinyin is treated as a radical of a character. The candidate window displays the different characters that the radicals can form.
For example, if you type “jiji,” and then press Shift-Space bar, the first four candidates in the candidate window are 兓, 喆, 嚞, and 㻸.
To see the structural Pinyin of each character in the candidate window: --
Choose Preferences from the Input menu in the menu bar (looks like a flag or character), and then click Typing.
Select the “Show input keys” checkbox.
This method is really helpful for those no-natives or whose native language is one of its dialects, or who actually don't know much of the sound (due to lack of education) of Chinese characters, but too lazy to learn other input methods such as Wubi (five strokes 五笔).
